Join pianist Clare Longendyke as she explores the connection between classical and contemporary music in her recital, Metamorphosis. Featuring works by Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, and living composer Dika Chartoff, Metamorphosis examines three examples of musical inspiration and variation. Clare takes the audience on a journey as she speaks to the stories behind the music, as well as her personal connection to each piece.
Pianist Clare Longendyke is a soloist, chamber musician, and fearless advocate for new music who brings daring repertoire and thoughtful storytelling to the concert stage. Her 2024 debut album, …of dreams unveiled, debuted at #2 on the Billboard Traditional Classical chart and was hailed as “delightfully daring” and “not to be missed.” Known for imaginative programming and a charismatic stage presence, Clare has commissioned over 30 new works and performed 250+ world premieres. In the 2025/26 season, she appears with Symphony New Hampshire, South Bend Symphony Orchestra, and Atlanta Contemporary Music Collective, and continues to champion equity in classical music.
